Why English is a complicated language

English is considered the universal language but to me and to most of us, it is actually a difficult language.  It is confusing, i tell you.  For those like me, who use English as their second language, we should be proud of ourselves for learning how to speak and write in English.  Here is some of the instances to show how complicated English is.
