Christmas in Zambales...

Christmas was spent simply with family. My two kids were here while the other two were not able to join us here because they had other commitments in school that they needed to do in Manila. We had our day full today as we spent half of it joy riding towards north of Zambales. We saw the damage caused by the recent typhoons in the Philippines and it was really a depressing sight. I am also happy to see today one of my high school classmates who visited me and we had the chance to do some catching up even briefly. We are trying to enjoy our remaining days here as we are about to leave in few days.

Zambales ... here we come!

We left Manila on December 19th, a Saturday to spend christmas with my mother and my siblings with their families in Zambales. The bus trip to Zambales gave me some nostalgic feeling. It was nice seeing my family again after 5 years. We will be staying here until the 27th and head back to Manila before we leave back for the US.

First week in PI

We arrived safety here in the Philippines after a long and tiring trip. My kids picked us up in the airport and brought us straight to the condo. Our first week here in the Philippines was pretty much spent with my kids and some friends. I had a chance to meet up with friends at my former office and it was really great seeing them. They treated me to a sumptous dinner at Gilligan's in Market! Market! My former boss Rinzi also treated us to a chinese lunch, also in Market! Market the following day. I also met up with Laila and Maria in Greenbelt for a nice dinner. All of them gave me nice presents. I really thank them for that very generous gesture. That was so appreciated! Here are some pics i wanna share with you:

Getting ready for the trip!

Hubby and I are now into panic mode for our trip tomorrow. I guess it's gonna be a no-sleep night for us. We have to be at the airport by 4am and the weather is really bad. I hope they don't cancel the flight or else everything will be affected. I am now checking my "to bring" and "to do" lists to make sure nothing will be missed out. I hope i can have access online while on my vacation. Merry christmas and a happy new year to everyone!

iLASIK Video Contest Still Open, Join Now!

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Incendia Health. All opinions are 100% mine.

One of the most important things that I cannot live without is my pair of eye glasses. I cannot perform my job without it. My everyday life has been dependent on it. I believe that a better vision is very important to improve our lives. This is exactly what Abbott Medical Optics Inc. (AMO), a global leader in laser vision correction, wants to convey among us, through its iLASIK Video Contest. This "You Gotta See This" Video Contest, has been going on for months and more and more videos have already been submitted - all showing the great impact of a better vision in one's life. Some of the videos submitted showcased original music videos, videos on boxing and swimming, and videos that simply show how their daily lives would improve with better vision.

The video contest is open to everyone who wants to get a chance to win great prizes. If you are interested, simply do the following:

1. Create a video on any of the 3 categories:

· "My contacts are getting in the way of my good time"

· "My favorite sport or activity would be so much cooler with better vision"

· "You should see life after the iLASIK® Procedure"

2. Submit your video and tell friends to vote at www.GottaSeeThisNow.com. Remember, winning the contest depends largely on the number of votes you get so spread the word to as many people you can get.

3. Get the chance to win any of the following prizes:

· One Grand Prize winner will win $5,000 - selected from all submitted videos

· Three First Prize winners will win an HDTV package (a $2,500 value) - one per video category

· Three Second Prize winners will win the Flip UltraHD camcorder (a $199.99 value) - one per video category

New Moon craze

It seems that everyone has been crazy about the movie New Moon. Have you watched it yet? I have not and not so crazy about it, to be honest. I think it is only appealing to the young generation to which i don't belong, lol! I saw the twilight movie and it was fine. I heard varying opinions about New Moon - some say the Twilight was better and some say otherwise. To those who already saw the movie, what do you think? Is it really worth watching it in the movie or i just wait to see it on DVD?
