I work in a place where we come from different parts of the world and English for most of us, is a second language. My husband would always find my accent "cute", that is why he does not try to correct me, unless i ask him if i said a word right or not. Fortunately, i don't have a problem understanding English and i guess my friends do not have a problem understanding me. I feel for those who have a hard time learning the language. One good tip to learn the language is to speak the language with the locals. If you hang out with friends who speak your language, try to practice speaking English with them so you will all learn. Of course we miss talking in our own language but try to minimize it if you can.
